PHC here. I guess I’ll just keep an eye on my UPS notifications next week. :(

Can’t say I’m surprised though, and luckily have prepared.

What if were getting the bonus instead of a severance? Any possibility that’s the case?

by | Post ID:

Are we still eligible if were laid off?

by | Post ID:

Those aren't bonuses, they're advance raises for 2018. Even more bizarre if we're being laid off.

by | Post ID:

, thank you for the heads up. Any CHEs or hcmss looking at being impacted on the 18th also? So strange the 18th, when the bonuses are being given the next day

by | Post ID:

Thanks for the heads up insideinfo.

by | Post ID:

Any hcmss at that date, also?

-- You just made my stomach drop down into my shoes!

by | Post ID:

January 18th many rn’s And most PHC will unfortunately be let go. I would start planning for future as some of these could be immediately terminated

“most of you want to only instill fear and dread.”

No. The vast majority just want to know if they will have a job in 3 months. Understandable after the year that has passed.

by | Post ID:

I didn’t didn’t dispute your statement. I simply said everyone process things differently, so carry on!

by | Post ID:

Actually it's a fact based on numerous studies about hope. EVERYONE needs hope. You can give me the BS line that everyone processes differently, but it is a well documented and studied fact that hope sustains us all!

by | Post ID:

Well everyone isn’t you! People process things differently and so glad you have a plan b!

by | Post ID:

-2oov but you all create the instability by spreading rumors and continuing to put people in fear.It is a known psychological fact that people are happiest and healthiest when they have hope. This site takes any and all hope one may have and squashes it. If they layoff 250 more, many of us still have hope. But most of you want to only instill fear and dread. I have made it through 4 layoffs so far. Could I be cut in round 5? Absolutely, but I am not in panic mode because I know I have a shot in staying. Stop trying to take that hope away. 250 is not all of HAH. Plus no one even said HAH would be hit again. i have plan B in place just in case.

by | Post ID:

True so true.

by | Post ID:

Tired of the stress, the worry. The wonder, the rumors. I can’t stop it from happening, if it does. I’ll do my job to the best of my ability, if I’m laid off, I hope I get severance and find another job, somewhere else. The stress of the worrying and interpretation and what not isn’t worth it.

by | Post ID:

So the site is “quiet” but we still know layoffs coming in quarter 1. Nothing has walked that statement back. So what else is there to know? If we are sitting around speculating on if it’s our job or not, then we continue to be in a work environment that is not stable.

by | Post ID:

... You read my mind.

by | Post ID:

I think they discovered so mAny glitches and errors in the care planning program, training and cgx, they need time to work out the bugs, so instead of all the hcmss and PHCs complaining, they’re starting one group on it, and then, work out the bugs before the next batch go

by | Post ID:

I keep wondering if the reason they pushed off the care plan rollout was because it doesn’t make sense to have care plans started by a bunch of people they are about to let go. Not all phc’s but enough to push back the rollout.

Of course, I could be wrong and maybe all the false reassurances of 2017 just has me jaded now. I guess we will see what happens.

by | Post ID:

Is it so quiet because of someone controlling the narrative or because the next RIF will not affect HAH?

by | Post ID:

They have done a pretty good job controlling the narrative since the last layoff. That's why it's so quiet on this board lately. Management knew who the loud mouths were. They gave themselves away based on info shared.

by | Post ID:

4th quarter layoffs affected rns. Many who had just been hired in previous months. So i don't think any job is safe if there are layoffs.

by | Post ID:

I agree with refocus the question at hand is just when & where the next layoffs will be. Fact that they have said more layoffs on the way in Q1. So when & where? Spare us the lectures on what’s shady & not. Not one person say anything was shady in this post. Controlling the narrative is a fool’s errand these days anyhow, unless they buy this site (& the others) & shut them down.

by | Post ID:

Refocus here. I don’t think OP’s question has anything to do with where certain posters are, just when layoffs will be (assuming there’s another round?).

by | Post ID:

It was pretty easy for them to tell who in management was talking. Has anyone noticed 💯 and Coach 22 have not posted since the last layoff? Any good business is going to do what they need to do to control the narrative. It's not shady, it's business.

by | Post ID:

I think they’ll trim PHCs again. But just a guess. Pushing back care planning isn’t good.

by | Post ID:

Correct me if you know otherwise, but it seems they will not cut PHC’s in Jan.

We are care plan training, teams are asking for coverage SME’s to cover teammates, coverage teams will have their own rosters - why prepare us for 2.0 and then get rid of us. That makes no sense.

by | Post ID:

My guess is first week in Jan after the second. A long time ago coach 22 said Jan 18

by | Post ID:

What’s on? Soup?

by | Post ID:

What is on, Bonk?

by | Post ID:

it is on...just get ready

by | Post ID:

I think they are just bs’ing.

by | Post ID:

And, if this is anonymous, how did they know who the rumor spreaders were to let them go?

by | Post ID:

When rumors of layoffs spread, RNs start to find work elsewhere. Maybe they don’t want to lose any more RN’s? 2017 saw tremendous turnaround.

by | Post ID:

Yeah I’m sure no employees are suffering from stress related illnesses anymore. It’s been two months since the last layoff announcement I’m sure they’re over it. What might be the widespread panic I wonder? People asking questions?

by | Post ID:

Not a gag order on layoffs, any type of announcement must come from leadership down. Too much was spilled in the past and led to panic. Most of the rumor spreaders have been let go. Notice how quiet things are. As much as they thought they were helping it made matters worse. Employees began suffering from stress related ilnesses. It was terrible on many levels. You can try to defend it but we saw widespread panic.

by | Post ID:

Good question. We haven’t even confirmed yet if those 250 reported in the papers RIF for Jan would be within HAH or elsewhere, and now folks on here are referring to a “gag order” on q1 layoffs.
