Corporate rot starts at the top.

You can bet your bottom Dollar they will be held fully accountable for another Chevron "success story", . Like clockwork, come April 1, you’ll see them flaunting their brand new cars and trucks bought and paid for by their bonuses and job promotions. Typical Chevron Club rewards.

Qett... there were some suberb technical talent on FGP - one expert was forced into early retirement and the seasoned brains over 55 were laid off. No real meaningful checking of the Fluor work by the millenials. The EM, the process mgr and the "module expert" should be held fully accountable for another Chevron "success story".

No idea how the cvx em for tengiz future growth in farnborough and cvx Korean module yard team able to survive the Korean module yard fiasco. classic dilbert blame transfer. They need to be held accountable and shown the door

Tengiz chevroil future choke project going down the same path. Already well over a billion dollars in change orders at Korean module yards by prc pm and pem out there who negotiated multi billion dollar contract with not a single technical comment or deviation. The saving grace is xom who are flooding the yard with seasoned staff employees. Cvx prc guys will no doubt get end of year paygrades

Amazing all the millionaire contractors chevron created on this project with no skin in the game while laying off hard working staff who actually cared. The integrated team approach was a disaster with cvx employees reporting to kbr management. What a sh--e show and comedy of errors along with Australian unions intentionally constructing the plant with defects to ensure job security

Gorgon what a comedy of errors and mismanagement, it's a joke really!

Disappointing to hear this issue was not caught.

Hot Air Recirculation is a known issue in LNG Plant design. Malaysia LNG had this problem after it started up in 2003.

ead, So what's your point, that it's no surprise that your pitiful head is on the chopping block?

Well, with your attitude, no, it certainly is not.

Another moment for dead wood posters to be proud of, along with Bigfoot, AMBU, Angola, Pro+ and all the other massive failures and the yearly fatalities that supposedly are the mark of a great company. Still, its a great job despite the facts. I'm sure their families will be happy to see what CVX employees are really like.

It's more telling that Exxon came online sooner, under budget, and is operating at 14% above nameplate.

They should bring George Kirkland out of retirement for three years, just to oversee and “finish” what he started in Australia. He wouldn’t be laughing it up so hard at his private pool and counting his millions.

Hey who cares what you think. Go get an education you moron.

by | Post ID:

thanks this is so interesting. I’m not sure why they said hot air recirculation was more than expected, it’s a common thing to design for in LNG trains and with the novel squashed footprint of multiple trains think it was pretty expected but unavoidable with limited plot. Wax in the stabilisers doesn’t sound fun.
