Thread regarding NetApp layoffs

November layoffs

Is it true they will do layoffs in November? Again? I heard this from three different people (engineers - no managers or up)... What do you think?

Agree with the post left by . I resigned over a year ago and with no regrets. Enjoyed the working level relationships and the people that really wanted to 'move the needle'. The middle management was very lost and overtly political. The company is very focused on maximizing shareholder value at the expense of re-investing any capital in the business and/or groving a new growth segment. Sorry guys, you are a second team player with first team aspirations. Go ahead, just buy back more stock and keep giving out your options to your chosen executive children that you have you call the leaders. Not buying it!

Glad I still own some stock and more glad to be out of this place.

Was let go last Nov as they downsized my QA to move it to India where they had about 60% turnover in their team each year.

We had to go through the exercise of automating everything we could to make it easy at the expense of doing good testing.

Maybe the 3 to 4 thousand people that were laid off have a different view of how great NetCrap is.

Just shill out and see for yourself. Obviously you’re not a happy camper. Quick to jump on people’s opinions. Take a shill pill yourself. Lol

It is always funny to see HP & EMC people trying to stir up some stuff on this site. They don't have anything else to do waiting on the unemployment checks to come in. True we had a lot of hard layoffs in the past but things are moving in the right direction. Anytime we see stupid comments we all know it is fake.

Oh, excuse a simple finger check... Notice that 'N' and 'M' are adjacent on the keyboard? Of course a genius like you never had that happen. Besides, not only have you not, and are not able to, refute the facts of my argument, because they are true, you have exposed yourself as the true troll by resorting to ad hominem attacks which are a favorite of simple-minded fools like you. I know a complicated sentence like the one above may be difficult for you to comprehend but read it over a few times and it will make sense. Also, you might want to study NetApp's financial statements to see for yourself that top line is flat before you call the company's performance "crushing it". Still a good laugh so thanks for that, at least!!

Netapp is not “crushing it” by any means. I would not be surprised if there were more layoffs. After all, transformation is a part of Netapp’s DNA. Good luck!

Variations of this same thread have been made every month for the last year. It has made this site completely unreliable for this kind of information. At least this one was posted as a question instead of a statement.

"Don't be am ignorant shill" Do you even know what a shill is? Do you realize how ridiculous you come off calling people ignorant while barely being able to construct a legible sentence? GTFO with that nonsense.

Crushing it, that's funny! Maybe still putting up acceptable numbers on the bottom line due to all of the past layoffs but top line has been flat for years, as in no growth. It's the IBM model, 22 straight quarters of declining revenue but they keep squeezing out earnings increases. IBM is making it work so maybe Netapp will be able to as well but crushing it? Don't be am ignorant shill please...

by | Post ID:

Nope, just like the last 3 that trolls came on here and stated were coming. NetApp continues to crush it
