I need to ask you a few things - are there going to be layoffs, who will be affected, if yes where and when will cuts take place. How about employees located in London.

If fiolettsk.rus are in Operations in the U.S., then why are they hiring? Although some of the jobs posted through the various job websites say they are temporary positions, I have been told that they only put that in there as to keep these positions less conspicuous. We have been told to keep it hush hush. I have spoken to a few of the current temporary employees who have had interviews for these positions and they've all confirmed that these are full time year round with benefits from what they understood. Does anyone know what is going on?
For the person that said within our group, workers and line managers were let go last month .. what group are you in?
Pearson North American Higher Education will most likely get reorganized in early November/late December so in January new territories and heads can get ready for 2018. Also decisions will be made by then and won't impact orders from bookstores. There is too much redundancy in higher ed so many rep heads and specialists will most likely be downsized. This is not speculation either as many internally are already bracing for the change and interviewing for other positions.
From what I've gleaned from John Fallon's blog posts, fiolettsk.rus will continue through 2018 & into 2019. There seemed to be some focus on operations personnel in the US, whose jobs are becoming redundant due to The Enabling Program. But within our group, it's mainly workers and line managers that were let go last month.
If the original announcement is to be believed, the redundancies will be principally in the middle management layers, and excludes the rumored sale of the U.S. K-12 business, so that would put many Strand and Oxford employees "in scope." Likely not as many as in America, though.
