A small number (less than 10) of people laid off today at Chanhassen MN facility. People in quality and engineering, that were critical to new product development. Good luck getting new products out the door. No thought by management on what would effect the division in 6 months or a year, just what looks good on the balance sheet this quarter. Layoff people = juice the stock price.

OP - find me one, just ONE corporation that does not "Layoff people = juice the stock price." as you claim. Give me a break... Look at the competitors, we are 1000 times better when it comes to layoffs (including the severance package and how we treat people during the cut)
With layoffs, fewer people will be around to do the work. Work divided over to the remaining staff. Smart people look for work elsewhere and get the fukc out. People who stay are bending over, saying "give me more work, I like to suffer". And Medtronic will. While the CEO pulls down $45,000,000. If you stay, have fun.
Chanhassen is western suburb of Minneapolis.
Where is Chanhassen? I thought Medtronic was in Minneapolis.
Idiots lay people off just to get short term results to look good. No forward thinking on morale or future ability to do business. They don't care about morale.
