Don't accept termination without severance without talking to an attorney. Make sure you don't have other options. Lots of APC employees have lawyers now. Ask around and you will find a good one. Most employment lawyers will assess your case free of charge. Good luck to everyone.

Huh? What world are you living in? Any lawsuits will drag out in court, which means in due time either you will have exhausted all your financial resources required to push this lawsuit through the legal network - or else Anadarko itself will be long gone, absorbed by another company if not completely bankrupt. You gambled by deciding to take a job in an industry that is driven by world demand, now deal with the consequences.

That's why APC is telling the world they are selling off assets. No they are getting stolen assets from under there name. Every since 2014 APC been going down. When they were fired n removed from property. Yes I work with the owner. We was the target company but had posion pill and counter attacked with hostile take over taking n holding 50% of APC.filed documents with out consent of owners. Breached farm out n operating agreement. That's why they sold sprinfield to Gas western Partners. APC is done. That's the reason for the sudden lay offs. Since 2014.
Anadarko merge with private family. Hostile it was when they went to Tyler county texas. Contracted area since 1950. Anadarko never got consent to drill one well. That's why they sold springfield, marlin midstream n the asserts operating and non operating rights in east tx. Private family ones 50% of Apc. Anadarko is in Lawsuite now. Why would anyone take over APc? Their stock is too rich. Assets are good but not exciting. Debt is way too high.
There will be new owners soon Apc is being taken over hostilely.
If apc cares about there safety record they will let Liz Hatfield go I. Gillette . I was there when Adam was there and he was three to four times the safety guy. Liz has no idea what she is doing . She needs Fired. I helped Adam get on with a new company after he was let go over Liz . And he is doing well.
Apc let me go in march of last year . I was management. I went to work right away because how good i am at at gas processing I received my 25 years of severance and I'm only 49 years old . I built the coal seam and all the rich gas plants for those years and was the most experienced person left. I drank apc koolaid and lived core values . And I was let go last march so was a lot of other midstream folks that new the business I am now working for a good midstream business. But what anadarko left in management which I was in . They need to go test out the Gillette management kc and his thugs to find out what they really left in place and what they know about processing gas which is very little. on gas processing . My thoughts I'm going to continue to recruit and take away because what apc left in Gillette. My only hope I do not have to read on the news this management left in Gillette they killed someone. I only hope apc will go and vet these people left for what they are. I have already taken to my new company a few folks because they know what I do. Apc needs to vet them to find out what I know before someone gets hurt.
Nothing has changed, APC management is still completely incompetent. Just look at the postings they are trying to fill up in Denver. If they had any idea how to evaluate the staff they would have done the right thing and gotten rid of the low performers during the first round and subsequent small skirmishes. Instead, some managers have accepted "no"s from their reports and are too spineless to follow up with the consequences so are perpetuating the complete clusterf started a year ago. The surviving gems that have been swimming in a sea of s*it are slowly leaving the company. These are the future of the company or were. Service companies are doing it better than this wanna-be-big boy. The writing was on the wall even 3-4 years ago when any one who wanted to be a supervisor got their participation medal.
If I were given the choice to move to Vidor, Texas or Denver,Colorado, well, I would chose Vidor. Culturally diverse, ethnically open, and plenty of beautiful scenery. Imagine the possibilities! Plus, you're a short trip to Houston and Galveston.
This is only a chapter in the sh--ty way APC has been treating it's employees ever since it realized it was in the red a couple years ago. How about giving crummy reviews to good people to get them angry so they'd quit? How about handing PIP's out like candy to undeserving employees? How about manufacturing incidents to fire long-time employees so you do have to pay them severance or their bonus? How about specifically targeting white males over 40 with 10 or more years of service? The list goes on and on. pu--y-a-- behavior from cowardice sh--bag Texans. They deserve lawsuits and I'll gladly help if the opportunity is there. Along with the lawsuits the management all needs to be afflicted with leprosy, while suffering from testicular cancer.
They've made enemies. Those enemies could show up in the least expected places and times. They could be mostly harmless or they could do more damage......And it would be justified.
Who was offered jobs in Denver? That's a no brainer! Midland is a different story. That place is a dump!

You ever thought they might actually need employees at those places and look I internally to fill them first. Many people would take a job out of town to keep working. For those that did they are still working. Sometimes the employee has to make the change and not the expect the company to provide anymore than a job and paycheck. Get over the stupid notion there is any loyalty. That might happen in small shops but not major corporations. Everyone is a contractor basically.

You are treating your longtime loyal employees like red headed step children when they won't accept whatever fictitious crappy job you have offered them in Denver or Midland, knowing they won't accept and you can save a buck by throwing them out on their ear with no severance. How can you expect people to uproot their families when you fly the company jet home to California every weekend, you hypocrite! Core values...my a$$!!! Save a barrel then spend a bundle???
