As a former employee of theirs for years the office is run very incompetently. The operations supervisor is a moron probably due to years of drug abuse. The district manager does absolutely nothing other than steal from the company. Everyone in the office drives company vehicles with company gas cards for personal business and use their pcards for personal expenses and claiming it is work related. While at the same time cutting field employees pay, per diem, etc. They change time-sheet and expense reports without notifying employees. Before the market dropped they were charging around $200 a day in lunch bills, buying equipment that is wasting away and not giving raises, now the market is down they have a real excuse for not giving raises but continue to work the system for their own benefit.Todd Thompson is the most incompetent, lying, backstabbing, cheating, over payed manager i have ever worked for. If it wasn't for his friendship with jeff percival I am sure he would have been out on his lazy Canadian asslong ago.

Yet these "a-- clowns" are pretty much all that is left.... Shows you the typical cliche that the more corrupt and the worse you are at your job the better you will be with wtf. Midland has been an eyesore of SLS long before the downturn but instead the competent and previously "profitable" offices close under dipshit management aka Sean Chapman.....
ILI is the beginning of the problem not wft. ILI bought great companies to mask their lack of profit/sh--ty high tech equipment. Then the worthless douchebags took charge of the GBU instead of the people that knew how to run a mudlogging company. We seen Tim Campbell as director that was a complete assclown, talking to the guy was worthless since he did not listen to a single opinion besides the ones in his head. Then we were left with Dave Tonner whom did everything he could to destroy sls. At one time he had almost as many programmers working on the sh--ty EDR as Pason has. He wrecklessly bought massive amounts of equipment that had no jobs, forced massive amounts of hiring that had no work to back it up, and then when we were tanking hard bought a whole new set of equipment from labs as he got stupidly promoted in drilling systems and left sls f---ed beyond belief. Now each office gets to pay hundreds of thousands every month to exist under Tonner's wreckless spending bills he left us with while facing closure under another idiot that has no clue what sls does barely.
WFT management is-- and will always be-- a joke. From the top all the way to the front line. Although-- they did get rid of some of the horrible HR managers at 5200 for their underhanded dealings regarding layoffs in conjunction with management.
When WFT gets rid of the managers who were involved, I'll have regained at least a percentage of my respect for Weatherford.
I want to be a manager at Weatherford, so I can get paid really well for doing nothing get a Pcard to take my family out to nice restaurant's, go on vacation in a company vehicle with a gas card, abd then you still get bonuses. Wow!!!!!wish I was that lucky
Sorry to say this but same story different manager. Weatherford is full of them. I have tried reporting mine for the same issues but nothing ever happened so now I just look the other way.
The Midland SLS office has been in total demise since ILI sold to Weatherford in 2008. Management really never understood mudlogging and how to hire those type of people who can do that type of hours/work. When the market was great Houston/Midland SLS did unacceptable practices that lead to the current situation.
SLS will never recoup and will shut down sooner or later. Too bad great equipment/some good loggers in the wrong hands.
Hey bro, give some hard examples of Mr. Thompson stealing to your U.S. ops manager and they will run his butt off. Weatherford will not take this anymore.
