AECOM is weird - it's a hire-fire culture, the latest news indicate that we might be expanding even though I do always hear rumors about layoffs.
I heard that roughly 30 folks were let go this week

Bloated management, asking the lower echelons to work extended hours (for free) while they receive bonuses. In the mean time they do not even make an effort to seek new projects or supervise; corruption in this particular office is rampant.

over 600 people let go last week while managers and all the other multiple layers of management stiffs get a big fat bonus and the CEO gets over 9 million a year in compensation. I would not reccomend a job a AECOM to my worst enemy.
Still watching all our once-passionate talent walk out the door to where they will be appreciated. Lots of layoffs followed by lots of defections. Nervous? You bet I am!

market's up, market's down. nobody's safe. there are no rules nowdays... 1000 jobs posted on aecom's site but we are letting people go at the same time (10 were let go in camarillo lately). so, you tell me - does that make sense.
